For new ships:

1) Complete the vessel title/registration application

2) Present the original "Manufacturer's Declaration of Origin" (MSO)

3) Submit the documents to the Maritime Board with due fees

Oregon used boats:

1) Obtain an "Oregon Certificate of Ownership" from the seller with a signed and dated release of interest by all listed owners

2) Complete the "New Owner" section.

3) Submit the documents to the Maritime Board with due fees

For used Oregon boats when address is lost:

1) Get a Lost Vessel Title Claim in Oregon

2) Obtain information about the owner of the record by calling the Maritime Administration

3) Obtain release signatures on Lost Title Form from all record holders (signatures must be notarized or owners must sign and provide a copy of a valid photo ID, front and back).

4) Submit the documents to the Maritime Board with due fees

For ships overseas from owned countries:

1) Get an out-of-state title with releases from all owners

2) Complete the vessel title/registration application

3) Submit the documents to the Maritime Board with due fees

For out-of-state ships when title is lost:

1) Get a printout showing all title state record holders

2) Get your lost address/country address form

3) Obtain release signatures from all record holders

4) Obtain the Oregon Boat Ownership Application/Registration Form, complete and sign the form

For out-of-state ships from countries that do not hold title:

1) Obtain the previous owner's registration card
